Shelley and I moved into this house
Our ex-pat experience started here in Tokyo, I think Kauai is one of the most spectacular places on Earth and this vacation was a great blend of relaxing, pigging out on great food, being with family and doing fun stuff. Shelley and I hiked and boated along the Napali Coast, took a wonderful helicopter ride across the island and spent great family time with my parents and my grandmother, Ella.
Shelley and I came here for our honeymoon - the first of a lot of fun trips together. We used Maui Revealed, a great guide book which helped us make the most of The Road to Hana. Definitely go up to Haleakala and walk into the crater.
Visiting the Taj Mahal was one of the coolest things we've ever done. We told our driver we'd be back when it closed and we just sat there all afternoon watching the sunset sparkle against the building. You just relax, soak it in, people watch and enjoy the moment. What a great place. A wonderful daytrip not far from Tokyo. Kamakura boasts one of the world's largest outdoor statues of Buddah. The area is filled with temples, shrines and other historical sites, as well as the beach. Of Note: This is the hospital where Anthon was born, on October 14, 2005. Huntington Memorial Hospital, Pasadena, California.
Of Note:This is where Shelley and I had our first date...
